Book Review: Love Food and Live Well

Love Food and Live Well: Lose Weight, Get Fit, and Taste Life at Its Very Best

Do you love food?  If you're like most people you do, but what do you love more..food or your health?  For some people, it's hard to live well, and eat what they like as well!

Chantel has become a weight loss expert and in her book she often uses humor to get her point across.  Chantel does not have a diet plan with menu's all written out for you, but she does teach you that you can enjoy all foods...in moderation.   When faced with your favorite food, do you eat until you're stuffed or just eat enough to taste and enjoy?  How you eat can make all of the difference.

Loving food and living well is great, but you need to have a love for yourself as well, and where does one learn to love his/herself?  From a love for God, and Chantel teaches us how to use our love for God in a way that will also be a great love of ourselves.

I am not one that enjoys eating, but there are some foods that I truly love and will eat them whether I'm hungry or stuffed, while reading this book I was able to see the damage this does.  How do you feel when you stuff yourself?  Awful of course, and that after dinner feeling of awful can sometimes go deeper and make you begin to feel awful about your self.  Some people spiral out of control and others go up and down with their weight.

I really enjoyed Chantel's light-hearted approach in this book.  This is not a book you'll want to read through then put away, but a book you'll want to read from time to time, even as a reference or a reminder tool!  I recommend this book for not only those looking to lose weight but for those looking to maintain their weight and live a healthy lifestyle as well!
